DESCRIPTION:The Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee has a full day of events planned:\n\n\n\n* Park District's Freedom Four (R) Run at 8 am at the Glenbard West football field \n\n\n\n* The parade begins at 12 noon in downtown Glen Ellyn \n\n\n\n* Family activities\, live music\, face painting and concessions from 1 to 4 pm at  Lake Elly Park. \n\n\n\n* Fireworks are scheduled for dusk at Lake Ellyn Park.\n\n\n\nCalling all Champions!  The theme of this year's 4th of July celebration is "Glen Ellyn\, Home of the Champions"!   \n\n\n\nThe Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee is inviting residents who have been recognized for superior achievement in any athletic\, academic or other type of endeavor  to participate by being in this year's parade!  We are encouraging community involvement and applauding our residents for the pride they bring to our village. You are able to march\, ride or create your own float!  The cost is free and we encourage you to create your own signage. \n\n\n\nThe deadline to submit your entry is June 15th.   Calling All Champions Form

LOCATION:Lake Ellyn Park is located just east of Lenox Road\, north of downtown Glen Ellyn\, from Main Street take Hawthorne Blvd. or Linden Street east. The Glenbard West High School football field is located just south of Lake Ellyn Park.
