DESCRIPTION:Box-making Workshop Will Be Offered at the Glen Ellyn History Center on January 11th.\n\n\n\nInterested in learning how to make your own period paper box? \n\nHistorically\, band boxes were commonly used to store lightweight articles.  Although most popular for hats\, smaller boxes could be used to hold any number of items. \n\nNanci Gaisel of the Northwest Territory Alliance (www.nwta.com) will be teaching us how to make boxes of cardboard and reproduction wallpapers. \n\n\n\nDate: January 11\, 2014\n\nTime: 10:30 am - 4:00 pm\n\nPlace: The Glen Ellyn History Center\n\n800 North Main Street\n\nGlen Ellyn\, IL\n\nwww.GlenEllynHistory.org\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP by January 4th to nwta.sewin@gmail.com or call Yordana Sawyer at 608-347-9615 and let us know if you will be making a hat box (tricorn or bonnet) for $50\, or a smaller box for $30. \n\n\n\nSeating is limited\, so make your reservation today.  Fees must be paid by January 4th. Please bring your own scissors\, thimble\, and lunch.   If you are making a hatbox\, bring the hat so the box can be sized properly.  All other materials are included.
