DESCRIPTION:The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and Glen Ellyn School District 41 invites the community to a ribbon cutting celebrating the newly named D41 First Stop Preschool and mascot Piper the Prairie Dog!  Come celebrate with us and walk through the preschool classroom wing at Forest Glen Elementary School. \n\n\n\nThe D41 First Step Preschool immerses children in a play-based\, student-centered environment to maximize student learning\, growth and development. Daily instruction targets all areas of development with a strong focus on literacy\, math\, language and social-emotional development. The classroom experience engages 3-5 year old children of all abilities\, to thrive in an academic setting for a lifelong passion of learning. The program is housed at Forest Glen Elementary School and is open to all families in the District 41 boundaries. The five day-a-week half-day program features small class sizes\, a research-based creative curriculum\, and support services tailored to individual student needs.  The program is designed to support the growth\, development and success of every young learner. Free preschool is available for District 41 families that qualify.
