DESCRIPTION:The Chamber Luncheon is a monthly event that is a Great Opportunity to Network with other members\, listen to special guest speakers with a timely presentation topic\, and to enjoy a wonderful lunch at a local Chamber restaurant.  In March\, we'll be Meeting and enjoying a wonderful lunch at \n\n\n\n\n\nIn March we have a special presentation by:  Kevin Krebs of "Partners for Achievement"\n\n \n\nAs a Glen Ellyn resident since 2003\, Kevin has served on the Glen Ellyn Girls Softball Association board for the past 8 years\, has represented Park View Elementary as a member of the District 89 Citizen's Advisory Committee and has volunteered at several other village events. \n\nKevin and his company has a version of its 3 Steps To College Planning and Career Success workshop which runs about 45-50 minutes.  The program is designed to help business owners that have children understand the best practices of the college admissions\, financial aid and career planning process.  The topics discussed during the presentation will include:\n\nCollege Admissions - Getting Into College\n\nSchool Selection:  Building A Strong School List\n\nCollege Essays:  Telling Your Child's Story \n\nStudent Positioning:  Enhancing Your Chances\n\nTimelines:  Organizing Plans & Deadlines\n\nFinancial Aid - Paying For College\n\nFAFSA:  What Counts & What Doesn't\n\nEFC:  Your Expected Family Contribution \n\nNeed-Based Aid:  Eligibility Parameters\n\nMerit Aid: Colleges That Give The Most Money\n\nScholarships:  Increasing Your Child's Odds\n\nAward Packages: Analysis & Appeals\n\nMentoring & Career Development - Graduating in 4 Years With A Job!\n\nMajors:  Choosing The Right Path to Pursue\n\nCollege Transition:  Setting Student Goals  \n\nInternships & Jobs:  Learning How to Stand Out
