Research professor Dr Iruka Ihoma comes to GPS to discuss the "4Es" of culturally responsive family-engagement that parents and early childhood professionals should engage in to support children's' learning\, development\, and well-being for this generation and generations to come.\n\nIruka will be in conversation with Michaeleen Doucleff\, a global health correspondent for National Public Radio's Science Desk and author of the bestseller "Hunt\, Gather\, Parent: What Ancient Cultures Can Teach Us About the Lost Art of Raising Happy\, Helpful Little Humans."\n\nIruka is a research professor in the Department of Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a fellow at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and the founding director of the Equity Research Action Coalition at UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute. She also serves on the U.S. Census Bureau National Advisory Council.
