DESCRIPTION:"HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS"\n\n\n\nKick off the season by joining the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce at the annual Holiday Walk!\n\n\n\nOn Friday\, November 28th\, the downtown comes alive with thousands of villagers awaiting the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the Christmas Tree. Join Santa at 6:00pm at Main St. and Crescent Blvd. to watch him magically light the tree. Then Santa will travel to Glen Ellyn's Fire Station #1 at Main St. and Pennsylvania Ave. to greet the children until 8:30pm.\n\n\n\nThe theme of this year's holiday walk is "Home for the Holidays"\,   And the WINDOW DECORATING CONTEST THEME is "HOLIDAY STORIES" \n\nOur window judges will be out on Friday morning and the winners will be presented with their award ribbons** in time for the evening Holiday Walk (please make sure your windows are decorated by 10am).\n\n\n\n\n\nShops and restaurants throughout downtown Glen Ellyn will be open late and will be offering treats for holiday shoppers.\n\n\n\nThe Glen Art Theatre will be showing FREE children's holiday-themed movies provided by our Movie Sponsors on four Saturday's before Christmas.\n\n\n\nMovies will be at 10:30am on Saturdays between Thanksgiving & Christmas!  (Doors Open at 10am)\n\n\n\nNov 29th:  Elf (starring Will Ferrell)\n\nSponsored by: The Law Offices of Lofgren & Wentworth PC\, The Entrepreneur`s Legal Resource\n\n\n\nDec 6th:   How The Grinch Stole Christmas (starring Jim Carrey)\n\nSponsored by:  Saylor & Murphy Orthodontics\n\n\n\nDec 13th:  The Polar Express\n\nSponsored by:  the Church at DuPage\n\n\n\nDec 20th:  The Muppets Christmas Carol\n\nSponsored by:  School of Rock - Glen Ellyn\n\n\n\n\n\nShop and Dine throughout Glen Ellyn's Central Business District!  Many stores will be open Late!\n\n\n\nVisit our boutiques and shops to begin your wish list or to complete your holiday shopping.
