DESCRIPTION:Kay McKeen began SCARCE in 1990 with the hopes to educate children and adults about caring for our planet.  In the past 22 years Kay and her SCARCE team have spread knowledge on the 3Rs\, composting\, water and air quality\, conservation efforts\, green building\, green audits\, waste audits and more.  SCARCE also began the Book Rescue and Tools for Schools projects - providing millions of books and school supplies for children locally and globally.\n\n\n\nSCARCE needs your help to continue educating our community and rescuing resources for children.  We are holding our first Green Tie Gala Fundraiser on October 24 at the Westin in Lombard.  We will be having dinner and silent and live auctions.
