DESCRIPTION:Please Note: This event has been postponed to a future date.\n\n\n\nIt's not often that a person gets to combine imbibing and education. However\, such will be the case when the Glen Ellyn Historical Society hosts a fund raiser titled "Spiritous Beverages of the Pioneer Days."  The program will provide an entertaining overview of the ways our forefathers (and mothers) would wet their whistle and whet their appetite some 150 or more years ago. From hard cider to sack posset\, fine wines to moonshine   come learn about and sample these tasty beverages! \n\n \n\nThe program will include an informative talk\, fascinating old photos\, a model of a moonshine still and\, of course\, opportunities to try the drinks that fortified (and sometimes ruined) those who settled America.
