On July 4th: 8 am Freedom Four Run, 12 noon parade in downtown Glen Ellyn, 1 to 4 pm family activities in Lake Ellyn Park. Fireworks at Lake Ellyn Park begin after dusk.
Location
Lake Ellyn Park is located just east of Lenox Road, north of downtown Glen Ellyn, from Main Street take Hawthorne Blvd. or Linden Street east. The Glenbard West High School football field is located just south of Lake Ellyn Park.
Fees/Admission
Fees are set by the organizations providing the events: the Glen Ellyn Park District and the Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee. Wristbands for the afternoon activities will be available for $2 each.

Description
The Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee has a full day of events planned, starting with the Park District's Freedom Four (R) Run at 8 am at the Glenbard West football field. The parade begins at 12 noon in downtown Glen Ellyn and ends at Lake Ellyn Park, where there will be family activities, live music, face painting and concessions from 1 to 4 pm. Fireworks are scheduled for dusk at Lake Ellyn Park.
