The Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) is hosting its 50th annual used book sale on Thursday May 12 and Friday May 13 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Glen Ellyn Civic Center. No pre-scanning occurs. Admission is free. There will be a preview night, Wednesday, May 11 from 6:00-9:00 PM for a donation of $10.00; children are free; scanner fee for dealers is $20.00. On Saturday, May 14, from 9:00 AM until noon, books are available by the bag for $10.00. The 30,000+ books are conveniently arranged by subject category and range in price from $1.00, to rare books, individually priced. Included in the sale are an outstanding group of children’s books, excellent nonfiction and biography, a large number of cookbooks, coffee table books, and many hardcover action-thriller books like Grisham, Dick Francis, and Tom Clancy, along with lots of poetry, drama, and classics.
This year marks the 50th annual book sale sponsored by the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn branch of AAUW. Proceeds from the sale fund scholarships. AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
