This event will wash away those Wintertime Blues using the musical talents of Fruteland Jackson, a singer/songwriter and educator who performs at blues festivals, cultural centers, and clubs worldwide. His songs range from blues ballads to folk and gospel standards and what he refers to as “Baby– Boomer Blues.” Fruteland calls himself a blues activist and oral historian prompting awareness through education by conducting Blues in the Schools programs.
The Wintertime Blues Concert begins at 7:30 P.M., Friday, February 15 at the Glen Ellyn History Center. Our gift shop (Stacy’s Corners Store) will be open for shopping during the event and coffee house refreshments can be purchased throughout the evening.
This event is a Valentine Treat for a favorite gal or guy and entire families can experience Fruteland’s blues adventure as well.
