Ragtime Showcase at the Glen Ellyn History Center

Description

The Ragtime Showcase will feature local piano students who have been learning about Ragtime music.  Following that segment, the highlight of the afternoon will be the appearance of Richard Zimmerman, nationally known authority and performer of Ragtime music at the piano.  He is the only living musician to have recorded all of Scott Joplin's Rags.  Hear more about
the music that was made in Chicago and enjoy listening to rag tunes played
in Zimmerman style.

Mr. Zimmerman is releasing his new CD at this event!

Families are encouraged to bring their children to hear Chicago Style Ragtime.  Tickets are $10 for GEHS members, $12 for non-members, $5 for students.
