under-resourced children living in the greater Glen Ellyn community to realize their full potential through after-school and summer tutoring and mentoring programs.
The event is held in partnership with The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn and generosity from our friends at Glen Ellyn Bank & Trust. Additional support comes from many other loyal businesses and community partners in Glen Ellyn.
“We are delighted to welcome Mary Beth Keane, author of The Half Moon as our guest at the 2024 Literary Event,” says Janis Pfister, GECRC Board Member and Literary Event Chair. “Named one of the most anticipated books of 2023 by Vogue and Entertainment Weekly, The Half Moon is a compelling read that explores relationships, small town familiarity, and life changing choices, as told by a master storyteller. We are looking forward to an entertaining and sociable evening!”
Keane is also the New York Times bestselling author of Ask Again, Yes, named as the 2019 Tonight Show Summer Reads Choice.
