Description
Tuesday, August 8 at 7:00 PM, in the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main Street, Executive Director of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society, Karen Hall, presents the history of Rotary Jails, a unique architectural design for prisons. Hall was the director of the Rotary Jail Museum in Crawfordsville, Indiana. This is the only remaining example of rotating jail cells that still revolves. This design was part of a changing philosophy of incarceration. Two legal hangings will also be discussed by Hall. This program is FREE, no charge. Call 630-469-1867 for information
