Please join us for this Multi-Chamber Event on Thurs, July 23rd for a hybrid legislative update at the Wheaton Public Library with Senator Seth Lewis, Senator Laura Ellman, Representative Amy Grant, and Representative Margaret DeLaRosa. Elliot Richardson from the Small Business Advocacy Council will be moderating the event.

- Recap of the 2026 legislative session, including the legislators’ highlights from the session.
- Thoughts on stabilizing the cost of health insurance for small businesses. This discussion will include Senate Bill 3619 (tax credits for small business HSAs) and Association Health Insurance Plans.
- Legislation that was passed to regulate AI and discussion around AI policies that impact small businesses.
- Thoughts on where the issue of the interchange fees for tax and tip may go in the future.
- Thoughts on ways to stabilize property taxes for small businesses and local communities.
