Description
The Glen Ellyn Non-Profit Connection is a resource to connect non-profits through networking and education. Non-Profits have similar issues and struggles. Together we can make each other stronger.
At these meetings, each organization will:
-
Introduce themselves, their organization and share upcoming news, events and services. We will also discuss any struggles at our round-table at the meeting.
-
A 30-minute Professional Speaker will be provided on an issue directed specifically to help non-profits.
- Presenter: Daniel J. Facchini, CFRE Managing Director, Innovation DuPage
Dan will review fundraising fundamentals that has helped guide his career as a CFRE, and will advise on how to overcome your development challenges.
Dan is a Certified Fund Raising Executive with more than twenty years of nonprofit leadership and fundraising expertise. He has advanced the missions for both grass-roots and large-scale organizations in the greater Chicago area that address poverty, homelessness, food instability, aging, developmental disabilities, street violence and youth development. As Managing Director of Innovation DuPage, he has led the organization’s strategic plan and is focused on mission advancement and institutional growth.
In his spare time, Dan is a published author, has written and produced sketch comedy through The Second City Training Center, and volunteers extensively, including co-chairing the Philanthropy Awards for AFP Chicago. He holds Bachelors degrees in Economics and English from Northern Illinois University, and has a Masters degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University. Dan lives in Chicago with his wife and three children.
A Round Table of Discussion & Best Practices will follow as we will discuss the topics of struggles listed previously. Example topics: fundraising, volunteer recruitment, telling your story, grant writing, transitioning of the Board or staff, etc. There will be years of experience and people with many talents. Together we can support each other, foster and collaborate ideas and improve our community.
These meetings are open to all non-profit Chamber Members at no additional charge. We will send out emails confirming further details. Non-Chamber non-profits are encouraged to attend a meeting to be introduced to the program and GECOC membership.
