IL 6th Federal Congressional District Virtual Candidate Forum hosted by 10 LWV Chapters across the 6th District

Join us 9/21, 7pm-8pm for a virtual Candidate Forum featuring Rep. Sean Casten, Jeanne Ives,  and Bill Redpath, candidates for IL 6th  Federal Congressional District, hosted by  10 League of Women Voters chapters across the 6th District.

Hear what the candidates for the Illinois 6th Congressional District have to say as they answer questions at this virtual candidate forum. During the event hosted by the League of Women Voters of Central Kane, Downers Grove, Elgin, Glen Ellyn, Lake County ILO, McHenry, Naperville. Palatine Area, Roselle/Bloomingdale and Wheaton chapters, and moderated by Jan Dorner, constituents will hear directly from all candidates on the ballot. The goal of this non-partisan candidate forum is for voters to gain an understanding of the candidates' views and relevant candidate information.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for candidates to meet with constituents and for voters to learn about candidates. The League of Women Voters has long hosted nonpartisan candidate forums given their organization's mission of promoting voter education and access. In the past, these forums were held in person, but given COVID-19 restrictions and concerns all League Forums for the 2020 election are being held in a virtual environment.
