Summary
As a Membership Coordinator of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce, you will play an integral role in member engagement and retention. This position is essential in managing member relations and ensuring that our members receive exceptional service and support.
Membership:
- Contact members at regular intervals to ensure a positive member experience and Enhanced members are utilizing their benefits. Listen and respond to all members’ needs and interests and recommend programs, products and services appropriately.
- Membership Inquiry – Collaborate with Executive Director to provide Membership Information via Phone, Email or Mail.
- Annual Membership Renewals: Contacting members for payments via email, phone.
- Send welcome email to new members.
- Non-Renewals - Exit Letter & Survey, Deactivate Website Listing & Constant Contact.
- Collaborate with the Membership Chairperson to provide call sheets on New Members/Prospects for Quarterly Membership Meetings, attend, if applicable.
- Collaborate with VP of Membership to coordinate Quarterly New Membership Orientation Seminars (in person or zoom).
- Ambassador Committee – coordinate with Ambassador co-chairs on monthly agenda, call sheets for Ambassadors, etc.
- Collaborate with Executive Director to Actively seek out opportunities to gain Chamber members (i.e. Key in Prospects into ChamberMaster, reach out to new businesses, etc.).
- Create an Enhanced Membership (Emerald, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum) spreadsheet to ensure Enhanced members are utilizing all their benefits.
- Key Groups Updated in ChamberMaster software program.
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
- Gift Certificate Program processing.
- Answering phones, check voice mail.
- Welcome Bags: Management of Welcome Bag program. Reach out to members when low inventory of marketing materials.
- Annual Directory: Collaborate with staff on membership directory, articles, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience in customer support or office management roles.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data entry processes and record-keeping practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, and general computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in nonprofit organizations is a plus but not required.
- Experience in ChamberMaster software a plus but not required.
- Must be available to attend some events outside of work hours.
- Some lifting will be needed periodically.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18-19 per hour

Schedule:
- Flexible. Work hours 16 hours during office hours (Mon-Thurs 9am-4pm).
