Box-making Workshop Will Be Offered at the Glen Ellyn History Center on January 11th.
Interested in learning how to make your own period paper box?
Historically, band boxes were commonly used to store lightweight articles. Although most popular for hats, smaller boxes could be used to hold any number of items.
Nanci Gaisel of the Northwest Territory Alliance (www.nwta.com) will be teaching us how to make boxes of cardboard and reproduction wallpapers.

Seating is limited, so make your reservation today. Fees must be paid by January 4th. Please bring your own scissors, thimble, and lunch. If you are making a hatbox, bring the hat so the box can be sized properly. All other materials are included.
