Description
Chicago is the birthplace of some of the most unique dishes in the nation. Join historian Leslie Goddard, Ph.D., for a look at five iconic Chicago foods: deep-dish pizza, Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, cheesecake, and Frango mints. Learn the stories behind each of these signature foods and how they reflect Chicago’s unique patterns of immigration, cultural traditions, and creative inventiveness. An illustrated lecture.
