Description
It’s important to understand how physical activity increases insulin sensitivity allowing the muscles to respond to insulin to reduce elevated blood glucose. You’ll learn about what types of exercise you should be doing and how it will affect your body and your health. A question and answer session with the speaker will be held.
GUEST SPEAKER: Danielle Nachtigall Danielle Nachtigall is the Director of Healthy Living and Sports Programs at the B.R. Ryall YMCA. An ACEcertified personal trainer and group exercise instructor, she specializes in cardiovascular fitness, injury prevention and rehabilitation. Danielle graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Kinesiology.
