The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale proudly announces its 40th Anniversary Concert, Wintersong 2025, a celebration of four decades of music and community. Audiences are invited to ‘Save the Dates’ for two unforgettable performances: Friday, November 21, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Both concerts will be held at Elmhurst Christian Reformed Church, 149 West Brush Hill Road, Elmhurst, Illinois. The program will feature cherished choral works, including the powerful and jubilant “Gloria” by John Rutter. The Chorale is also excited to introduce its new interim artistic leadership: Michael Popplewell, Interim Music Director, and Kevin Lange, Collaborative Accompanist and. Ensemble Director.
 
“As we enter our 40th year, this milestone concert season is both a reflection of our history and a bold step toward our future,” said Interim Music Director Michael Popplewell. “We look forward to celebrating with our community through music that uplifts and inspires.”
 
About the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale
The Chorale was founded in January 1985, with the goal of building a long and respected musical tradition in the community and is home to 60+ singers from a variety of backgrounds. For 40 years, the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale has enriched the western suburbs with vibrant choral music, bringing together singers of all backgrounds to share in the joy of song. The group consists of singers from the auditioning novice to professional-level singers performing a wide variety of music, including: jazz, gospel/spirituals, pop, larger works of choral music, sacred, folk, all-time favorites, and show tunes. The mission of the Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale is to develop the musical abilities and awareness of its members, provide participants and audiences with an enjoyable and creative outlet for their cultural needs and serve as a reminder to the community of the beauty and universality of music in every sense.
